This Sputnik anchor weight allows you to fish or crab even in the most turbulent of waters by anchoring into the sand. When you set the anchor by tugging the line towards you, the prongs dig into the sand and keeps your snare or fishing rig fixed to the sand of where you casted. When you start reeling in, the tension of the prongs flips backwards and opens up, allowing the weight to come in freely.
