Bay Area Guided Crab Snaring & Poke Pulling Trip - DURASNARE

Join us for an action-packed, hands-on coastal experience with our Guided Poke Pole Fishing Trip! Learn how to pole pole fish in the San Francisco Bay Area. Perfect for beginners, this 3-hour session will teach you the proven techniques of catching Monkeyface Prickleback Eels and various species of Rockfish—all while enjoying the beauty of the Pacific coast.

NO FISHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS GUIDED TRIP. 

FISHING LICENSE HOLDERS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO OTHER LOCATIONS WITH HIGHER CATCH RATE. WADERS WILL BE REQUIRED AT THOSE LOCATIONS.

• All loaner gear provided –  Poke poles, bait, rods, buckets, gloves & more
• Personalized instruction from experienced guides who live and breathe coastal crabbing. Group instruction format dependent on booking size.

• Tips & tricks to legally, safely, and efficiently target Monkeyface Eel and Rockfish from the Jetty
• Enjoy a full catch-and-cook experience where we clean, prep, and either cook your legal catch on-site or prepare it for you to take home.

• Monkeyface Prickleback Eel – A prized local delicacy, known for its firm texture and rich flavor. Found hiding in rocky crevices along the coast.
• Rockfish – A popular nearshore species with mild, flaky white meat—perfect for tacos, grilling, or pan-frying.

• Participants must be in good physical condition. This trip involves physically demanding activity, including walking on uneven terrain, hopping, jumping, and climbing over rocky jetties. For your safety and the safety of others, all attendees should be able to move confidently and independently in these conditions. If you have mobility limitations or health concerns, please contact us before booking.
• All participants must agree to and complete a waiver and release of liability form prior to the start of the trip. This is mandatory for participation and will be provided by Durasnare staff during the scheduling process.
• Each purchase covers one participant. If you have additional guests attending or plan to gift this experience, please increase the quantity for each additional person.
